Why we are (Mission)
i:61 Andover is passionate about serving the local community. We are looking to raise expectations for the young people of our town and further God’s kingdom by getting our hands dirty rather than sitting back observing.
Our mission comes out of our vision which is simple….see Isaiah 61 below. What better mission to share than that of Jesus?
We are a bunch of ordinary people who share a passion for young people and want to show them how much Jesus loves them. This movement is about rediscovering what ‘church’ is meant to be and, in doing so, bringing revival to this town by lives being radically changed by Jesus and a community’s hope restored.
We want to be different, relevant and not just another ministry. We want to keep things simple but be known as a people with outstanding compassion and courage.
We want to be advocates, to be a voice for those who can’t, for whatever reason, speak and stand up for themselves.
We believe Jesus asks us to love people no matter where they’re at. No one should feel as though they have a be a ‘certain person’ or ‘perfect’ in order to have a relationship with Jesus, or do church. Jesus loves us all – lets show people that!
Isaiah 61 – The Message (MSG)
Announce Freedom to All Captives
61 The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me.
He sent me to preach Good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken,
Announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners.
God sent me to announce the year of his grace – a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies – and to comfort all who mourn,
To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of Joyinstead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit.
Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness” planted by God to display his glory.
They’ll rebuild the old ruins, raise a new city out of the wreckage.
They’ll start over on the ruined cities, take the rubble left behind and make it new………

Where we are going (Vision)
We share our vision with the heart and mission of Jesus in Isaiah 61.
We long to see people walk out of the kingdom of darkness and into the light of the Kingdom of God.
At i:61 we want to see and experience freedom, healing, comfort, hope and joy poured deeply into the brokenness of our lives by the Holy Spirit, and, as we meet with Jesus, that we all will come to know God as Father being filled with his unconditional love and grace for us.
We want to see the cycle of depression, self-harm and suicide in our young people changed by the new life and wholeness that only Jesus can bring.
Our desire is to see young people restored and set free, being equipped and released into their purpose and destiny, and becoming the amazing, courageous, ‘world-changing’ young women and men that our Father God made them to be.
If that is your burning passion too, we’d love for you to join us on the journey!
What matters to us (Values)

Having passion, courage and creativity in everything we do.
Building an inclusive community where everyone matters, everyone is welcome and no one is judged.
